CICTI CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE WORKER, CCHW

This 4-hour program is intended to train the boots on the ground – where the real risks can be effectively managed or completely ignored. A given project may be managed by the best General Contractor with the most qualified subcontractors; but, it only takes one person to drop the ball and place the entire project’s success in jeopardy. The CCHW course proceeds through the core concepts of infection control and demonstrates the use of ICRA tools and equipment via hands-on exercises. It concludes with proficiency testing to provide assurances that the attendees can demonstrate a benchmark level of ICRA knowledge.
This intensive ‘awareness’ course targets individuals not directly responsible for ICRA implementation. This program was created with the subcontractor in mind. Correspondingly, the course highlights trade-specific concerns and discusses individual responsibilities under the umbrella of infection control strategies. The CCHW designation is valid for two years. A new Certification will be issued every two years, provided the “CICTI Certified Healthcare Worker” demonstrates continued proficiency (test) and mastery of the advances in Infection Control for Healthcare Construction.

CERTIFICATION MAINTENANCE

CICTI does not require annual maintenance fees or membership. While we encourage attendance of refresher training, CICTI does not require CCHT’s, CCHM’s, CCHW’s or CCFT’s to re-attend the course in which they were originally Certified. CICTI Programs are ‘focused’ on “Vision Enhancement.” Our aim is to forever change the way Contractors and Owners view the planning and execution of high risk scopes within functional Healthcare Facilities.

CICTI Certifications are valid from the date of issue through the following time frames:
CICTI Certified Healthcare Trainer – CCHT: 3 Years
CICTI Certified Healthcare Manager – CCHM: 3 Years
CICTI Certified Healthcare Worker – CCHW: 2 Years
CICTI Certified Facilities Trainer – CCFT: 2 Years

CICTI provides ongoing education through its web-based resource library and through email-based bulletins. All CICTI Certified Individuals have secure access to these resources and can maintain their Certifications online.

Recertification is attained via webinar, consisting of fee payment, online video, and concluding with a short quiz to ensure knowledge retention.

Course Locations

COURSE AVAILABLE AT CICTI INSTITUTE

The CICTI Institute contains a classroom that has been equipped to handle a maximum class size of 15. In designing the classroom, CICTI considered class size as it relates to individual interaction, comfort and corresponding retention of information. The heart of the Institute is our mock up rooms. These rooms were specifically designed to facilitate hands-on training in Infection Control practices. Course attendees will utilize these rooms to proceed through a series of mock scenarios. The intent is to place course attendees into the shoes of those that install and maintain these measures. Through a better understanding of the variables and nuances that must be considered during ICRA design and implementation, attendees will be better equipped to detail, manage and sanity check installations at your specific job sites.

COURSE AVAILABLE AT YOUR JOB SITE

It may not be feasible to bring all of your folks to the Institute. In these cases, we can bring the Institute to You! Any of CICTI’s courses can be taught at your onsite location, with a minimum number of attendees (6-10). Another option is for CICTI to be a part of your conferences and expos. We will work with you to determine your training goals and craft tailored programs around your organizational objectives. Organizational Seminars can be “Certificate of Attendance”-style programs or can be crafted to include post-seminar Proficiency Testing and corresponding Certifications. Due to the hands-on focus of CICTI Programs, there will be logistics that will need to be coordinated. These logistics include: available classroom / auditorium space; shipment and short-term storage of CICTI equipment; and designated spaces that can be utilized as mock up rooms. The level of detail of select topics will be commensurate with the audience present and the organizational training objectives.
