Certified Healthcare Remediator Technician (CCHR-T) Course

Restoration contractors are uniquely positioned to provide high quality infection control services in support of construction and renovation projects within high risk healthcare environments.  Restoration contractors can leverage their expertise in reactive response to known events or losses into a pro-active mindset that insulates planned projects from hazards that could be realized through the execution of scopes of work. The CCHR courses can be conducted at our training facility, 14 miles south of Charlotte / Douglas International Airport (CLT) or at your onsite location with sufficient attendees.

We have organized our CCHR courses into a three-tiered methodology to provide targeted levels of infection prevention education.  The first of three offerings targets the Restoration Technician – the boots on the ground.  This course provides education in the fundamentals of infection control components and the differences between reactive contaminate control and proactive strategies to prevent the likelihood of contaminant release.

As with all of our courses, the tools and techniques for protecting the Environment of Care are demonstrated through hands-on exercises. Course attendees will not only hear about concepts but will also utilize and apply knowledge to achieve adequate levels of protection. Through the use of monitoring equipment during the exercises, students will derive an understanding of the effectiveness and limitations of select strategies. All courses conclude with proficiency testing to provide assurances that the attendees can demonstrate a benchmark level of ICRA knowledge. Upon successful completion, the attendees are awarded designated Certifications, valid for two years. Certification maintenance is managed through our web-based tools to ensure awareness of evolving requirements, industry advances and corporate distinction.

Certification Maintenance

CICTI does not require annual maintenance fees or membership. While we encourage attendance of refresher training, CICTI does not require CCHT’s, CCHM’s, CCHW’s or CCFT’s to re-attend the course in which they were originally Certified. CICTI Programs are ‘focused’ on “Vision Enhancement.” Our aim is to forever change the way Contractors and Owners view the planning and execution of high risk scopes within functional Healthcare Facilities.

CICTI Certifications are valid from the date of issue through the following time frames:
CICTI Certified Healthcare Trainer – CCHT: 2 Years
CICTI Certified Healthcare Manager – CCHM: 2 Years
CICTI Certified Healthcare Worker – CCHW: 2 Years
CICTI Certified Facilities Trainer – CCFT: 2 Years

CICTI provides ongoing education through its web-based resource library and through email-based bulletins. All CICTI Certified Individuals have secure access to these resources and can maintain their Certifications online.

Recertification is attained via webinar, consisting of fee payment, online video, and concluding with a short quiz to ensure knowledge retention.
